Abstract:

In this paper the effect of particle index of refraction on the results obtained for the distribution function of particles over size using a photoelectric instrument to record the light scattering to the side is studied. The instrument operates in tandem with an eight-channel pulse-height analyzer; the minimum detectable signal corresponds to an equivalent latex radius of r=0.1 μm.
