Abstract:
The results of various IR-spectroscopic studies of the atmospheric aerosol refractive index (κ) are analyzed. Minimum and maximum estimates of κ are obtained for urban and rural aerosols. A comparison is made of the experimental and model κ values in the spectral range from 3 to 20 μm.
