Abstract:

In the work, we compare the beam splitting algorithm, providing a solution of light scattering problem of atmospheric ice crystal particles in the approximation of geometrical optics with the ray tracing algorithms developed by Russian and foreign authors. A good agreement of the results has been shown. The developed algorithm is freely available as an open source software.
