Abstract:

It is shown that a certain area exists in the atmosphere with dominating influence of one large coherent structure, in which spectrum of atmospheric turbulence differs from the spectrum of the Kolmogorov's turbulence. With the use of a rough models of the spectrum for coherent turbulence, earlier motivated in our work, expressions for dispersion of the offsets of the energy centre of the optical bunch, dispersions of the offsets of the scene of the optical source, and dispersion fluctuations logarithm of the amplitude (in condition of applicability of the smooth perturbation method) are theoretically received. The comparison of these models with the known similar expressions for noncoherent turbulences have shown that under equal conditions considered dispersions of fluctuation parameters of the optical waves in coherent turbulences is much less, than in the event of Kolmogorov's turbulences. This theoretical result means that in coherent turbulence the significant weakening of amplitude and phase fluctuations of the optical radiation exists. The importance of this conclusion is noted for interpretation of results of optical sensing of the atmospheric turbulence.
