Abstract:

A simple design of optoacoustic gas analyzer with heat source and interference filter is suggested. An optoacoustic analyzer modeling was performed by LabView graphical programming interface. As an example, the measurements of hexafluoride (SF6) contents in atmosphere was considered. Optimal parameters of gas analyzer elements were determined: optoacoustic cell, interference filter, infrared heat source, and microphones. Effect of general air pollutants on OA signal amplitude was tested. It is shown that using low-cost commercial elements of the analyzer, the threshold hexafluoride level in atmosphere achieve, 0.006 ppm.
