Abstract:

The review of literature data and results of series of experiments made by the authors shows that problem of H2O UV absorption origin is not solved satisfactory yet. The attempts to propose reliable model of atmospheric H2O contribution to UV radiation attenuation under its propagation through the atmosphere or under measuring the gas composition of atmosphere are not successful totally. The necessarity of additional experiments on special dependence of absorption cross-section within 200–400 nm spectral range is declared.
