Abstract:

Two iterative methods of retrieval of aerosol albedo and single scattering phase function in the total atmospheric column from the cloudless sky radiance measurements in the solar almucantar are considered. On the basis of numerical simulation (visible spectral range) the research of the methods' convergence and the sensitivity of the desired parameters to the aerosol optical depth and underlying surface albedo values, as well as their accuracy and errors of scattered solar radiation measurements is realized. It is shown that the optical situations of high and moderate transparency of the atmosphere are the most favorable conditions for the solution of the inverse problem.
