Abstract:
We present data of ground-based observations of total (Ntot) and low-level (Nlow) cloud amount over Tomsk in 1993-2004. Interannual variations of NNtot and Nlow, as well as averaged over 11 years monthly and seasonal values of cloud amount are considered. The obtained results are compared with data of many-year ground-based observations in Tomsk for 1936-1965 and satellite data for 2001-2004. The statistics of cloud amount is analyzed using the synoptic information and data on sunshine duration in Tomsk.
