Abstract:

A design of a tunable F2+-color center Laser lidar generating an output power of a few hundred kW in a narrow line of 0.08 cm-1 in the 0.9-1.0mm range is described. Atmospheric transmittance spectra measured along variable path lengths were compared with the available calculated data to show a considerable disagreement for a number of laser frequencies.
