Abstract:

The sea-water transparency and the laser depolarization ratio up to 25 deep were estimated from airborne lidar data. The seasurface temperature was found to be in a complex relationship with the presence of the underwater hydrosol layers and the variance of the extinction index. The depolarization ratio proved to be dependent on the atmospheric conditions over the probed sea surface.
