Abstract:

Pure ordinary and heavy water vapor fluorescence under the KrF*-laser excitation was studied, studied. The OH fluorescence induced by the two-quantum H2O photolysis and the wide-band H2O fluorescence due to the excitation in the single-photon absorption process were observed experimentally. The fluorescence is likely to occur on the vibration-rotational transitions from the H2O electronic ground state to highly anharmonic states.
