Abstract:

A computational algorithm for retrieving atmospheric ozone density from a double-wavelength laser sounding data is proposed. The procedure is based on the logarithmic derivative technique and makes use of a priori information in the form of a model ozone concentration profile. The numerical simulation results on the efficiency and accuracy provided by the algorithm are reported and compared with the available methods of interpreting laser sensing data.
