Abstract:
Lidar signal distortions due to the finite pulse duration and narrow receiver bandwidth are estimated both analytically and numerically for a few schemes of laser sounding of the atmosphere and underlying surface. Based on the closed numerical simulation, a comparative analysis of different algorithms for digital linear filtering of lidar signals is done to restore the true signal shape. Ways of adaptive adjustment of the restoring filter parameters are discussed.
