Abstract:
The problem of the segment displacement optimization to form a desired mirror surface is discussed. Optimal axial displacement is shown to be weakly dependent on the aperture function. The standard mirror profile deviation from the required surface as a function of the segment and aperture size is obtained. A standard deviation functional is proposed that provides complete information on the quality of the surface formed by a segmented mirror. The dependence of the functional on the segment and transmitting aperture size is calculated.
