Abstract:

Refraction angles in horizontal and vertical planes were computed [or a 3-D inhomogeneous atmosphere in a wide range of ground temperatures and refractive index horizontal gradients. The calculations show that the neglect of the horizontal atmospheric inhomogeneity may lead to serious systematic errors in the estimated refractive corrections.
