Abstract:

The frequency transformations of nontraditional 4.3mm 1001-1000 and 10.6 m 0002-1001 CO2 laser radiation bands in ZnGeP2 monocrystals are investigated experimentally. The external peak efficiency of radiation frequency doubling of 4.3mm band was 8.4% and the internal one was 10.1%. The radiation peak power at sum frequency was 20% of the 4.3mm radiation power. The theoretical analysis has made it possible to use the transformed and natural radiation of nontraditional bands for measuring CO2 concentrations at the level 10-2 g/m3 and NO concentrations at the level 10-4 g/m3.
