Abstract:

An equation is derived relating the intensity of aerosol precipitation by sedimentation and diffusion to the dynamics of the plume optical thickness. A relationship is obtained for estimating variations in the optical thickness field of the ith aerosol fraction in the smoke plume emitted by a point source. Schemes are suggested for practical application of this relationship.
