Combination absorption bands n5 + n9 and n1 + n11 of the ethylene adsorbed in the silica aerogels nanopores of different densities have been studied for the first time in 5700-6300 cm-1 spectral region. The comparison between spectra of the ethylene in aerogels and ethylene in gas phase shows significant difference. The changes in the band shape, band shift and increasing of absorption intensity have been observed for ethylene in aerogel nanopores. In the pressure range under investigation the ethylene adsorbed is in the same structural state.
FTIR spectrum, ethylene, aerogel
