Abstract:

We discuss here an approach to proper arrangement of a network of aerological stations, enabling objective analysis of 3-D mesometeorological fields. Numerical calculations show that for a typical mesometeorological polygon the maximum admissible spacing between stations, lmax, , is 120 km for temperature and about 60 km for wind velocity components.
