Abstract:
Transmission, reflection and absorption characteristics of stratiformis are calculated in this paper using the data of observations during POLEX (May 29, 1976) and GAREX (April 20, 1985). The calculations take into, account the irradiation of clouds by light reflected from the underlying surface. Vertical, profile of the monochromatic radiation fluxes (at λ = 650 nm) in clouds has also been estimated in the paper.
