Abstract:

The problem of solar radiation transfer in the system cumulus clouds-underlying surface is studied. An algorithm based on the Monte Carlo method for calculating the mean fluxes and their partial derivatives with respect to the parameters of the problem has been developed.
The effect of the albedo of the underlying surface, the geometric-optics parameters of the cloud field, and the zenith angle of the Sun on the mean value of albedo of the system and its partial derivative with respect to the cloud amount has been examined.
