Abstract:

Our study presents an application to simulation of the China outflow of the new method for СО2 concentration calculation using combination of grid-based transport model and Lagrangian particle dispersion model with carbon dioxide surface emissions of anthropogenic, biosperic, and oceanic origin. Comparison of simulation results and observation data at Hateruma station (Japan) showed good agreement. We investigated the influence of China emissions on Asia-Pacific region. For these purposes, we performed calculations at Hateruma using our coupled model with and without China region emissions. The simulations show that variation of СО2 concentration at observation point is strongly affected by China anthropogenic emissions especially during winter season. The domination of the regional anthropogenic influences on the observed signal suggests opportunity for efficient application of the transport modeling for inverse modeling of the interannual variability of the regional anthropogenic emissions.
