Abstract:

Relations of the aerosol optical depth of the atmosphere (AOD) with different synoptic factors are analyzed based on the results of many-year measurements in the typical region of Siberia (Tomsk). The mean spectral dependences of AOD in two types of air mass (continental mid-latitude and arctic air) and different baric formations are compared. The effect of cloud fraction and precipitation on AOD is estimated. The results of wavelet analysis of the AOD and columnar water vapor series in some observation sites (AERONET stations Tomsk, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Yakutsk and Ussurijsk) are discussed. The peculiarities of synoptic quasi-periodic variations in different measurement sites are revealed and compared.
