Abstract:

A study of air qualities has been done in Tomsk with a mobile measurement station. Suburban point of measurements was chosen to compare with urban characteristics. It is shown that a modern industrial city is not only a "heat island", but also a "pollution island". Admixtures concentration in city's center is much higher than in its periphery. Air pollution concentrations exceeded 2-3 times maximum permissible concentration in the main roads. In addition, the supplementary source of water vapor was detected in the city.
