Abstract:

Effect of the wind and atmospheric turbulence is m coherent Doppler lidar is used for?investigated experimentally. A 2- measurements of the parameters of aircraft wake vortices, wind, and atmospheric turbulence. Results of the lidar measurements of wake vortex parameters under various wind velocities and turbulence levels are represented. An empirical dependence of wake vortex life time versus the turbulence energy dissipation rate has been obtained from data of the field experiment for the first time.
