Abstract:

The analysis of atmospheric lidar methods, carried out at the Institute of Atmospheric Optics over the last years, is presented. On the base of original double monohromator invention for receiver optics the effectivity of pure rotational Raman spectrum for temperature profile detection including cloud layers was shown. The new Doppler method (spectrum accumulation) providing for the estimation of not only the wind speed but the turbulence intensivity was suggested. New methods for cloud lidar study with the usage of the multiple scattering and the polarization lidar characteristics were developed. The integration of several lidar methods was realized in the multiyear investigations of stratospheric dynamics and content changes under natural technogenic factors. The theoretical approach for femtosecond lidar creations was found for atmospheric aerosol microphysical parameter determination.
