The results of measurements and calculations of broadening and shift coefficients for unresolved triplet 6046.96 cm-1 of СН4 and its components due to collisions with SF6 molecules are presented. The measurements were realized by using a high-sensitive photo-acoustic spectrometer with a diode laser providing for a spectral resolution of 7 × 10-4 cm-1 and a signal-to-noise ratio more than 103. The obtained results are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data.
