Abstract:

The paper presents basic ideas of the theory of optical monitoring of the atmosphere. Optical monitoring is aimed at operative remote control of dynamic characteristics of the ground atmospheric layer for further use of these data in ecological problems on forecasting the air pollution transportation. In particular, the paper discusses the methods for solving the atmospheric optics problem on restoration of the field of coefficients of aerosol turbulent diffusion from the data of lidar sensing based on the use of aerosol light scattering. The paper also presents the structure of the solution algorithm for determination of spatio-temporal variability of the field of aerosol microstructure from the data of optical measurements as well as for studying the physical processes the aerosols are involved in.
