Abstract:

A mechanism of night mesospheric Na glow is considered, that is due to the interaction of environment with gaseous compounds whose origin is connected with human activity. It is shown that at altitudes of 80-100 km Na radiation intensity and radiation source function in the interaction region can be by a factor of 102-103 greater than mean values of the similar quantities in undisturbed atmosphere.
