Abstract:
The absorption in the troughs between the lines in 1-0 CO band is considered. The experimental data available are analysed. The line mixing theory is shown to be inadequate for interpretation the results under discussion. Dependence of the absorption coefficient on the perturbing gas species and temperature is described in terms of the spectral line wing theory without line interference.
