Abstract:

The capabilities of the optical sounding of the atmosphere-underlying surface system from the point of view of the information provided is analysed. The technique is base on the spectral photometric measurements of the backscattered light intensities for a family of sighting lines. Experimentally it is shown that the determination of the function of albedo distribution is amounted to numeric solution of linear Volterra integral equations of first type. The expressions for kernel calculations of the corresponding integral equations are derived for two geometric sounding schemes.
